'Upgraded' from 5S to SE' ?

Has anyone reading this replaced an iphone 5S with an Se?

After using the latter for a few...weeks or months, are you

satisfied with your decision, or not?

Please elaborate why, or why not?

Others, please don't 'hijack' this thread by arguing in favour

of bigger screens. Some of us like shirt pocket size mobile

phones, some of us don't watch videos on our phones, nor

spend long periods web browsing or Facebook gossiping.

My friend upgraded from a 5c to an SE, so not sure if relevant. He is thoroughly thrilled because the battery lasts two days rather than less than one.

I upgraded from a 5C to an SE as well. For my purposes, there's very little difference between the two.

• Improved camera and video
• Faster
• Arguably better battery life

That's about it really. Not worth the difference in price for the average user. I certainly won't be upgrading for another 3 years or more. The phone does everything I need a phone to do.

Had mine since launch

By the way, many will avoid the SE simply because it looks identical to inferior models. It doesn't look like you've got the latest piece of tech, so it's not a status symbol like the other models : P

Google is your friend,

Forbes has a good description.

I think you underestimate the performace of the iphone 5se, has the A9 chip (vs the 5s A7 chip), and faster video processor with double the memory.

Otherwise, everything remains fairly similar, but this is good because the performance drop over each ios upgrade is what makes you change phones... the SE has much more staying power in that respect.

I upgraded from a 5 to an SE.

Great phone - faster, better external case (less likely to scratch) Better camera, the only thing it does not do is the force touch.

Ive been told the touch ID is better than the 5s.

And they have just come down $100 since & release.

Win/Win - Go for it

We replaced all our 5C and 5S models with SEs recently, and all our users are happy with the decision (5C users even moreso). Generally seeing better battery life and better responsiveness out of the touch screens. Users can actually answer and end calls on the first touch most times now!

Yet another happy user who has gone from an iPhone 5 to an SE, if you like smaller phones and are already an iPhone user I don't think you will regret your decision.

5/5c to se is a big jump.
5s, not so much.
Depends on what you want and how much you willing to pay to achieve it.

I have contemplated an upgrade. I like the size of the device. Both myself and my wife are currently using 5s. But the phones actually run reasonably well and not that slow. I have not upgraded to IOS10 yet.

The idea of a new phone is burning a hole in my wifes handbag, however the phones we have at the moment are working perfectly fine.

Yes, I upgraded from a 5S to the SE.

My 5S was the bottom end and I wanted more storage

I use  my headphones a lot when I go walking, so the 7 was not an option I wanted (at this stage). I use noise cancelling bluetooth headphones when I am on planes.

The faster CPU is noticeable.

I wanted the same form factor as the 5S and the SE fit into my pocket easily, I can also use it one handed.

Not having used a 6 etc I have never used the 3D touch, so don't miss it.

I am over all a happy customer
