Ok I have spent the last day 2 days playing with my new  phone and I love it.
I have set it up to suit my needs so far. I have my own special ringtones on it already. very nice sound too.
I did not get the data plan as I have wifi in most of the places I spend time in, and if I want to suddenly view the web I will use my
partners phone for the cheaper $1 for 10 mb
And this way I can never accidently drop wifi and go onto data without knowing.

One thing I am not sure of is what happens to my pxt that are sent to me now.
where do they go?

I have skinned the iphone and it looks great.

Call vodafone and ask to have pxt deliverly to handset turned off in pxt admin. If the csr does not know what you mean pm me some details.

pxt seem to be delivered to the phone but are not displayed (even the txt part) in the sms app.
Best thing to do is jailbreak and install swirlymms. Think the app is around $8 to buy and theres a post here on the correct settings to work with vodafone nz.

Cant you also view your pix online in the Vodafone portal? I've jail broken and use swirlyMMS works great. Worth the 8 bucks

thanks for that, not ready to jailbreak the iphone at the moment, and will be happy to view the pxt online when I have it up and running with vodafone.

My iphone is like my new baby and I am so taking it slowly with changing everything lol but thanks all for the help and I have found great info on how to jailbreak and other cool stuff I can do with the phone.
