Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you.

I must admit to being a little confused. What sort of situations would these be best utilised?

Does it turn your laptop into a wireless access point? I know the odd frequent traveler who use something similar to provide wireless to their mobile devices when using an ethernet hotel internet connection....

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I would have thought that as the vendor you would have some idea about the product you are selling. This reply doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that you can support the product

Powered by USB port
Powered by a laptop’s USB port or by a portable USB adapter, no external power adapter required.

It's not listed on the "In the package" list in the install guide, so I'd say no, if you want to plug it in via a mains -> USB adapter, you'll need to supply your own.

On the scenarios page it shows it plugged into the mains. I can see that in a few cases it would be handy to be powered from the masons.

It doesn't need one, if you're powering it off some other USB device, like a laptop, but you can use one if you don't have or don't want to plug it in to a laptop USB port. For example, if you're in a hotel which has an ethernet connection, you could plug this device into the ethernet port, and in to a mains -> USB adapter, and connect via wifi. If you are powering it off your laptop, you have to sit close enough to also have the ethernet connection plugged in.. which kind of (imo) defeats the point in it. So no, it doesn't need one, but there's a number of situations in which you'd want to use one.
