Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

That model is $1,499 new, without extra hard drive and with standard 8GB RAM.

I would think somewhere between $600-800 for that one?

ask whatever people ask on trademe for the same model.

if you want more than that, wait longer to sell.

if you are in a hurry to sell, price it under the other people and say "cheapest on trademe"

Being a old Core 2 Duo, most likely $4-500 for a quick sale...

I would say $400-500 anything more than that and your dreaming. You might get $700-900 for a used Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. MacBook Pro's with optical drives i.e. non retina models are likely to be dropped within the next 6 months.

A 2010 machine is 4 years old and Apple consider anything 5 years and over obsolete.

Good luck with the sale.

Nice one! I think a lot of people who aren't overly tech savvy see these older models and assume they're the same as the new ones Apple sell because they look identical (apart from Retina models) leading to quite high prices for older machines. A while back I picked up a 15" 2010 MBP with an i5 for $900, which I think was a bargain at the time, as that was nearly 2 years ago.
