Ive tried to locate a current fixed pole file for NZ Cameras and just couldnt find any up to date info (If someone can point me in the right direction, then please do!)
So in the meantime Ive created my own from the sources I have found.

The main being the Police website:

What Im after however, is if anyone wants to contribute the status of local cameras and whether they are in use / actual speed limit around the camera so that I can perhaps try and keep the file current and up to date.

The garmin csv format is:

You can update your garmin device with POI Loader:

When using custom POI, you may need to uncheck the default garmin speed camera location POI in the device

The current file Ive updated is: SpeedCamera.csv

you used to be able to get a POI from the NZ Open GPS project (via their forums). Haven't looked recently as I don't have a Garmin GPS any more!

Weekly map updates = awesomeness.

Yeah that used to be a good source. I just cant find a current and working link. The forum still seems active.
Zenbu is out of date, hence the work to get a working one.

If anyone has a gpi/gpx/csv file then all the better.

You'll see my name on there as a contributor pre blowing my unit up

What people don't seem to comprehend outside what Zenbu data is also used for. So they edit willy nilly and don't tend to consider the consequences outside of Zenbu like POIs

I added a few of the AKL watertunnel ones without being there, among others that need visual conformation to relocate and exact speed. Then it would be a matter of re-exporting for use in POIEdit etc. But since I live in CHC.. I still couldn't find people to help (even posted a thread here)

And people go and edit or remove the incomplete ones they find an 'annoyance' instead. (like the separate mobile camera zones that use to be specified)

The police new camera chart is good, BUT they don't give the exact location. So you can only pin it to a range between the cross street GPS co-ords. Which isn't any good for the alerting which is based on road speed.

Ultimately the people that like to use it also need to support it and do some corrections on Zenbu to bring it up to scratch. I removed a few CHC ones that have now been dealt to since the new camera system and deployments. And have come across some of the new ones rather unexpectedly to then adjust on zenbu. But need help outside of CHC

Yes, unfortunately they only give a corridor range which is of average use.
I see various attempts have been made via to get the actual positions but none forthcoming.

Ill give zenbu another try.

Just make sure you search the terms rather than use the map browse. (get double ups when you don't use specifics and look at the neighbour points)
