That happens and i agree its not always your guys that arae at fault

when i first moved in i got crappy speeds and i happened to get a tec there Called Cameron or as i refer to him as Saint Cameron He told me to remove the 5 m ext cord i had on my modem and the speeds went up by  x4 times


First rule don't use an ext lead on the xDSL modem next rule when issues happen do an isolation test

I have a Netgear DGND3700 any ideas where that information is provided

I have no more or less than i had yesterday when it was working fine

i use voip so no phones are plugged in 

I changed the filter just in case it was that

Remove the filter all together and plug the cable from the phone directly in to the jack you don't use as a primary. That way you eliminate the cable, jack and filter all at the same time.  Also power down your modem, unplugging it from both the phone cable and power source to power cycle it.

Based on those sync rates, you have a faulty jack, faulty modem or dodgy cabling in between be it a corroded joint at the pillar or some other bad joint between your jack and ETP.





Sometimes what you don't get is a blessing in disguise!

whilst we are on the subject of cables sockets and connections

Did I see somewhere that there is a improved wall socket for plugging your modem into ? that improves connectivity and speed? o r was I dreaming that ther was ?

well I have unplugged replugged tested reset and goodness knows what else so I'm off to bed there seems to be a little more buildup in speed on my downloads that might just be the time of night hopefully by the morning it would have resolved itself and i can get back to work!

It sounds like there is something wrong with the filter or extension cable.

I would suggest speaking to our tech team on 0800892000. They will walk you through full troubleshooting and isolation testing so we can diagnose the problem. If you are still having issues getting through on the phone (you shouldn't, there is no wait times) let me know and I will arrange a call back for you.

Go to Router Status, scroll down and click on show statistics. A pop up window will have atten/noise etc





I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.
