http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/6838689655Based 15mins north of Whangarei and Fibre has only been turned on in the town since September. So I have moved to my parents place temporarily and decided to get her internet changed over to fibre as she only had 12mbt VDSL that really maxed out at 2mbt most of the time. Fibre got changed over last week all good and speed tests nationally max out at over 100mbt down and 20mbt up as per the plan I put her on but the max she can get to Australia is 10mbt down and .5mbt up, and to America 5mbt - 10mbt down .5mbt - 10mbt down. Can not even watch netflix without it maxing out the connection and no one else able to use the net. TBH I will rather pay out her contract and move to a decent ISP if there is no fix on its way or any acknowledgment of a problem.

What type of PC and how are they connecting?

"Can not even watch netflix without it maxing out the connection and no one else able to use the net. " sounds very much like internal issues rather than anything related to your RSP.

Netflix comes from New Zealand anyway so international speedtest results mean very little.

One laptop and one desktop. Couple of phones just for facebook and what not. They all seem to have the same problem. Just seems weird that the connection maxes out at 100 for anything or most things in New Zealand but as soon as it leaves our shores it loses it?

Edit: The laptop runs off of the wireless and the desktop is using an Ethernet cable

Slingshot fiber here. Netflix works flawlessly here and has always done so since CallPlus has a Netflix cache.

To compare with your results here is my Slingshot Fiber results:-

  • Newcastle (Optus) - 62.11 down/3.94 up
  • Whangarei (UberGroup) - 68.94/4.41
  • San Antonio, TX  (AT&T) - 45.28/10.23

Above speeds is with two wireless hops between me and the ONT so the fact I am easily able to beat your results for the downstream at least suggests your issue is closer to home.
