. . .
Any official updates for Orcon GeniusLite Black adsl modem?
My modem tells me I'm on "GeniusLite1424" firmware version.
But there is only one return on the entire world wide interwebs for that version is right here on Geekzone.
There is nothing about firmware, at all, on the Orcon site. Searching for "firmware" via Google site search return pages without any mention of firmware, indicating the term may instead be on webpage search tags.
Feeling a little raunchy by this stage, I flipped the modem over.
The backside said "Designed by iNet Labs Australia" - no entity online by that name.
However, I found a link on "iinet" to a modem with the exact same online interface and outward appearance, here:
In the manual section dealing with firmware, it contains reference to:
.. " 3. Click on the link to the Router Firmware page on the iiNet Support website."
No such link exists on the Orcon router firmware update page. Just the advice to upload an update from the computer, but no link or reference where to download that update from.
Another issue: I have tried to change from WPK to WPA2 but it proffers four blank boxes to enter numbers 0-255 and the numbers I've tried don't work.
Oh, and Chrome shows the wifi link with the modem to be insecure.
Got screengrabs if that helps.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
