You have to pay $20/month first and get nothing out of it. After that whatever calls you make will be charged at 25 cents and have to buy the text messages package separately.

Might as well buy the VF EASY pack for $19/month, get 20 anytime minutes, 60 off peak and weekend minutes, 40 text messages, 10 PXT and 100MB free data for 3 months!

Do whatever you want to do man.

Are the two text addons the only addons we can have?

What about BestMates or similar? Family?

not quite true.. or $20 a month you get cheaper calling rates.  there are a lot of companies paying $30 to $40 a month per connection for vodafone/telecom mobiles and all txt and calling is extra on top of that - often at 0.30c - 0.40c per minute.

vodafone youchoose plans cost $20 per month minimum.  they come with 20 minutes of calling value but then it costs you $1 per minute for additional minutes... ouch!  if you compare the youchoose 60 plan then the callplus plan works out cheaper

Very interesting indeed and for some will be a nice way to consolidate your telecommunications bill. Interesting timing though.

If I didn't know better I would have said they coincided this with that other new mobile providers launch.

No Bestmates. But there was a hint at Slingshot running it's own sms gateway.

Would be nice if there was some kind of special rate on calls to and from 2Talk and iTalk.

We've just launched a micro site with all pricing confirmed for our two voice plans (the article was a little out on a couple). Our data plan is to be released a little later.

www.mobile.slingshot.co.nz doesn't have much on the pricing yeat.

The costs of that where reported to computer world where wrong.

Quote from ScottH on the Slingshot forums:
A one minute call will cost you 50c (50c times one minute)
Two minutes will cost you 80c (40c times two minutes)
A three minute call will cost you 90c (30c times three minutes)
Anything over that stays at 30c per minute.
