Download Speed: 4599 kps (574.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 991 kps (123.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Test Server: nz-akl

I'm synced at ~12600/1200kbps on a LLU connection. These tests peak at ~1.2MB/s before dropping off very quickly.

and torrents are coming in at about 400kB/s and going out at 30kB/s while I did that. Will retest later when this lot of "linux iso's" have completed.

Not trying to gloat or anything, but basically I think that there really is a fault you are experiancing and not a generally becoming crap of the service. It is still working great for me and a freind who is on it too.

Its really started slowing down for me this week.  Prior to this week I was getting consistent 13Mb/s download speeds.

Same for me, at about 2pm it starts to slow down and I get to about the same speed as you're getting, then at about midnight it picks up again and I get full line speed.

I'll have to check it out later tonight to see if the speed increases.  Its pretty annoying though.

We finally got connected today.

Syncing at roughly 15mb/s to 17mb/s.  Not sure why either, the cabnet is less than 700 metres away and our router is reporting high attentuation (90 to 110 compared to 50 at my old house which was 2K away)

Quick question for those of you who know.  Is interleaving switched off by default?  Or do I have to call and have it switched off.  The website says it can be switched off on request and the CSR I talked to told me it was definitely off and all new connections are off by default which I found odd, since its usually the other way around..  My ping to certain servers would suggest it isn't...But I realise it is an unlimited connection and the latency may jump up and down between different times of the day.  I can provide my account number for anyone who might be able to check and tell me for sure :)

Pretty happy so far!  Thanks guys!

Except browse, download, game, stream video stream music, make VoIP calls, use Skype, upload as normal etc.

What you can't do is download Linux ISOs as fast as you can at other times of the day.

Usually around 11pm it comes right for me, but atleast online gaming isnt affected i'd be more pissed if the traffic for that was crap.

Disagree.

browsing on a 1mb/s connection is terrible.  It actually feels like dial-up.  Skype chat is fine, but calls are a totally different story.

Yeah sure i can USE the internet (like its '96) but its greatly diminished.

No chance of streaming 480p youtube (forget 720 and upwards) 360 buffers.
Skype video stutters (switch to audio only)

online games do still work (not really that demanding on network) but with increased ping.
Upload has always been sh*t anyway so don't bother.

Load times for content heavy pages increased.

My telecom XT connection is faster than this.
