Hi,

I have a VuPlus Duo, had it for a while (couple of years??) and been very happy with it.
The other day though we had a powercut and the Duo wouldn't get past the "starting..." stage. I took it to the local TV/computer guy who is usually pretty good but i think this was a bit outside his expertise as he said "the firmware's been blown away, the unit's stuffed".
Well, i took it home, downloaded a new image onto  a USB drive and installed it wihin an hour. Thought I was pretty clever. But clearly I'm not Embarassed. First i coulnd't get any channels. Worked out i neeeded a new Satellites.xml with Optus in it. Now I get all the channels on the Satellite - but I only want FreeView! I thought I'd be able to edit the list but i can't find how to in UI (maybe the image i have) or what file to edit to do it manually.
Also the Image I have doesn't seem to have a way of deleting programs - so I wil hve to connect via network to delete the ones I've watched.
Also for a start I was only able to watch/tape 1 channel. I setup my (ummm transponder thing) to say the second one to be "same as first" (i can get more details on that if it helps lol). Now I can tape 2 channels but any more than that it seems to not work. I used to be able to tape at least 4 easily.

I got an image from here:
VTi - Vu+ Team Image Duo - v 4.2 - 26.08.2012 OE 1.6
http://www.vuplus-support.org/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=33667

My questions are:
What image are you using to watch FreeView?
What seetings do i need for my transponder to tape 3+ channels?
If you are using the same a me, is there something i'm missing re deleteing programs? Dekeing those Sky channels i don't need?

Also do you know of a skin that has larger fonts (we have a crappy old CRT TV and it's quite hard to read epg/taped programs).

Thanks in advance!

Mark

Hi Mark,

I will send a PM to you with the instructions I got from the NZ importer.  There is a link to the firmware that was installed in any units sold by him.  He no longer imports the Vu+ Duo, but apparently Freeview Shop are about to land some stock.  So they may be able to help if you have further questions.

To delete all the Sky channels you don't want, use DreamBox Edit:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dreamboxedit/

Cheers,
Grant.
