clog: is there any limitation to the device/disk size the USB interface supports?


Not really, but we suggest a Portable Hard Drive rather than a USB flash drive, the USB devices are checked and scanned before being in use to help determine the reliability with the recorder functionality. a 32GB space is the recommended minimum as you have to allow reservation space and other unallocated data.

If the pre check scan shows that the drive is unstable, you can still record on it however don't expect it to work 100% all the time.

What about partition table types, and sector sizes etc? I had huge issues with my DVR for my cameras and drives that presented 4k sectors just getting their content trashed by their broken handling of it.

HadEnough: Either I have a defective box or this model's OS and / or firmware is well below standard.

Intermittent faults that are frustrating me:

1) Failure to wake from standby and record programs.  Recent examples Arrow TV2 Thursday 5 November.  Doctor Who Prime Sunday 8 November  Both are series linked from the guide.


What type of power mode do you have on? Low Power Mode (Red Light when in standby) or the unit lights STBY with power and signal lock lights red? Also try relinking (Delete booked shows and relink on the EPG)

2) Loss of sound during playback of recorded programs.  Hit stop and the box locks up,  Only solution for this is to cycle power at the wall.
 
This has been reported on multiple devices from customers and has been logged with the team, please bear with us and I will get more info when acquired.

3) When woken from standby with a USB stick attached, the USB media sometimes mounts faster than the library, resulting in a "Media not ready" message when LIB key is pressed.  Solution here is cycle standby until library mounts faster than the USB stick


I'll get this reported too however, please try a factory reset and see if any of the issues are replicated again, it would be great to get TX information, if you can PM me your transmitter and setup details, I can get this sent through in case we need additional information.  


Standby is low power, red light only.

Transmitter is Hawke's Bay Mt Erin.

I will try a factory reset

Hi guys,

Mediaworks have been investigating the 3Now HbbTV app and are now working on getting it fixed, this is an issue that affects all devices including TVs so hopefully they get this resolved within the next 24 Hours.

When you have a recording in progress and you catch up to the current recording progress the pvr exits you to the wrong recording in progress sometimes if two recordings are in progress

Hi All,

A new firmware has been released, if you have set the updates to automatic, this should have been installed at 4am over the last few days. Version 01.1E November 7th 2015
You can also manually scan for the update. If you do not have the update or the unit cannot get the update please Private Message me, To check if you have the latest update go to Menu > Installation > System Info

This release should fix the audio freezing problems with playback as mentioned earlier in this discussion last week, I have also got the built in iManual updated to cover more areas of the T2200.

The current online manual indicates that an audio delay can be set. This option is not listed under audio settings in my firmware 1.18. What is the story?

Please advise why the unit will not record from +1 channels.
If program has started on normal channel, and you try and use the basic epg to record from +1 channel, it fails saying it is already running.
Using the fv+ EPG allows you to select and schedule the +1 channel, but then it starts recording immediately as the program is running on the normal channel.
This is 11E fw.
Also cancelling a copy from sata to usb just hangs the device.

No mention that TV1-3 are excluded as all recordings are encrypted.

The PDF manual on the website and outdated and we are getting the new version uploaded on the website before the 20th November, please discard the PDF manual and go to the built in manual via Menu > Installation > User Manual.
The File Transfer has been correctly updated via the iManual. I do also note that while we get the PDF manuals updated , they can become outdated with new software.

I am going to talk to the team regarding Plus 1 recording from EPG

That is an old firmware which does not correspond, please see my other post regarding manuals.

Are the Plus One channels broadcast in HD or SD, and if SD, does the box decrypt these recordings when copied to USB?

Can you series link recordings from plus one channels?

What is the issue with TV1-3? Is it because it is in HD or is it a content protection issue?

These are SD, The USB transfer only works if you wish to store the recordings temporarily as you reset the box including its built in harddrive, we are working on making these files transfer to another T2200 and/or S8200 box. The files are encytpted due to copyright reasons and the unit can only decrypt what it's encrypted.

Yes but these are only utilised when necessary, the main channels are first priority when booking, if the main channels are full to schedule then the Plus 1 channels will be used for series.

What is the issue with TV1-3? Is it because it is in HD or is it a content protection issue?


HDCP Protection is on the unit at all times which means you are unable to record via HDMI or any other device as the signal will be encrypted when it detects that a device is going to be used to capture or record the HDMI signal.

Your helpdesk just told me that the SD channel recordings are not encrypted when copied to USB.

Which is correct?
