Hello All,

I'm having a few issues with freeview. Namely:
  • I can pick up 1 and 2 on EyeTV fine, but TV3 comes up with no codec.
  • GBpbr refuses to pick any channel up most of the time, but when it does, it won't display anything
  • DVBViewer has limited success. I can view TV3 - but no audio. C4 gos..
  • In all cases - the windows machine stuters a lot and has generally lower signal, despite the aerial being in the same place...
Any suggestions? I'm using Vista and mac based in the Royal Oak area in Auckland.

Tv3 won't work in Eyetv as its 1080i, and interlaced feeds don't work in it.
The reason why you are getting audio for c4 is that they have changed the feed back to MP2 (I think thats it).

I was having a similar problem, in that I could get tv1 and 2 but no 3 and c4 (or maybe it was the other way round). But anyway, long story short, I got on the roof, rotated my LNB about half a degree and now all channels work great. Works with my DSE freeview box and with my PCI card.

I wouldn't bother trying this if you are getting a good signal strength howver.

Tried with EyeTV - excellent TVNZ signal through the aerial.

EyeTV picks up TV3 but as previously discussed can't view it.

Its strange that the signal levels differ so much. I think I'm going to run a 15 meter cable from the UHF to the room with the desktop to see if that makes any difference...

I've got the most optimal position for the internal aerial for now... According to eyetv, I have reasonably good signal for the mediaworks signal.

WHen it comes to Dvbviewer or GBpvr - still no luck... I've tried all the options for the video codec - nothing.

ANy ideas?

Sorted out most of the issues now.

Signal is reasonable. Can get video working in GBPVR but not audio, same in EyeTV (only some channels though).

I've tried setting the AC3 filter as the codec and tried installing monogram filter but it fails to register.

Any ideas?

Tv One and tv 2 are only using aac at the moment. So thats one possible reason.

I've created a new thread to seperate it from the other issues I've been having (no audio only).
