We purchased a DishTV Dual Tuner Satellite MyFreeviewPlus Recorder S8200 on Feb 17th of this year.  It has been a frustrating exercise sung this piece of equipment.

Basically it has stopped recording reliably.
• It intermittently it says it is recording when it is not.  Shows the R in the guide but isn't actually recording when you go into the library nor is it there after the program finishes being recorded.  (No power interruptions have been happening to cause this)
• For many of the programs it DOES manage to record, we get Playback Prohibited,  Failed or Partial messages when trying to playback. Restarting (re-setting) does solve this problem temporarily but the very next day it will do the same thing.
• It records a specified program (series) on one channel and (without being set to do so) shows the R symbol on the same program on the delayed channel.

Latest:  In fact it has now stopped recording altogether since 17 March.

The unit has used 2.18% of the available space with 97.82% remaining free. Purchased from The Warehouse 17/02/2017.

Suggestions/solutions welcome. I am really concerned that the equipment is sub-standard.

Cheers

Ian

My Parents and my in-laws have this unit. Have not had this problem.

Is your unit up to date?

Sounds like you may have a dud one - return it and get a replacement.
