paulobrien999: when i do a scan in NZ region i get no channels, tried germany and i get one channel

Paul, what channel do you get with germany?

I was kind of wondering if the scanned channel info is stored in the registry and if so is there some way to manually add the NZ channels if you know the format. Very slim chance I guess but...

Was also wondering if doing a scan with the original beta, with the date set back pre august would somewhere produce a file of some sort that can then be copied and put into a modded .dll TV Pack install...

I don't have enough time to play at the moment unfortunately!

hi mattv, i get (at around 55%) a channel called 'Zinwell SSU). when i go to watch it though i get a decoder error

did a search of the registry, cant find the word 'zinwell' - well not in plain text anyway..

so we just need to get this other DLL cracked ... takers?? :)

thanks again for your answer, and answer to the dvbsbridge multi tuner question.. as a sibgle tuner solution does this work well?

I already use DVBSBridge/DVBViewer for Sky - which it does a fantastic job of.

I currently have TV3 working perfectly including 7 day guide, mixed in with all Sky channels, and TV One and Two in SD. Apart from the fact that TV One and TV Two are still in SD in aint all that bad... Despite the fact that a few people on here like to stick the boot into at every chance they get it works very very well. But then again it wasn't that long ago that the same people were bestowing the virtues of ATI in HTPC, while sticking the boot into NVidia...

Having said that the compromises some people are making just to get a few shows in HD still amaze me. I'll still take SD Vista Media Center over any of the others including Media Portal and GBPVR and day of the week. The compromises you make in user interface are simply stunning

All so you can watch two season old US network series, most of which aren't even broadcast with DD sound...

Bittorent is a wonderful thing...

Hi, I also use DVBviewer and DVSBridge, so far have only tried DVB-T, but will buy a dish and also try DVB-S.

Can I ask what codecs you use in DVBviewer? are they Power DVD8?
Are you using an ATI Video card?
Are you using the standard settings for DVSBridge as per the document it comes with?

Yeah, I have to agree with you Rusty. Although as you know my system is not stable, although I'm going through a good patch at the moment (that alone will jinx it...). On the good side the DVBSBridge guys have replicated my problem and are working on it. On the bad side I've heard nothing from them in the past couple of weeks...

I too am quite happy with SD for now. The amount of HD content is not enough to get too excited about at present. And if I really want to watch something in HD, I can watch it on my bedroom HD LCD with Freeview HD box....
