Check your signal strength for each Mux.
Sounds like you're in a weak signal area and the tuner sensitivity is less than that of the Tivo.
Assuming the decoder is OK it's almost certainly an antenna and co-ax problem.

99% guaranteed it's a problem with your aerial or cabling.

If you go into the setup menu there is often a page showing signal strength/quality information. Maybe the manual setup will allow you put in a channel and see the strength of it.

If it worked fine before then you're looking at a weaker tuner on the new box, but more likely you need to check the cable connection plug to make sure it's still ok and then look at the aerial condition overall, including the cabling between the aerial and your unit as sbiddle mentioned above.

You need to hunt around to find somewhere on the new unit that shows signal strength information.

do you live in an area that has just received freeview HD just before the world cup? if so there are numerous problems going on in most areas, picture dropping out, sound dropping out. Ring a technician, where I live they know the problems going on. funny thing is freeview banned me from their facebook page for constantly pointing it out each time it happened, they stuffed up and should of not given the contract for the new areas to JD
