Hi, my dad has a Nokia 5110, he has mentioned that 2D tend to have a bit more disconnections whilst on a phonecall than when he was with Vodafone.

Any comments to the truth?
He's based in Wellington.

I haven't yet been disconnected while using the phone on 2degrees.

probably more related to a phone fault than anything 2D. it is a pretty old phone.

I've had problems with an old Ericsson T28 and T39m, most of the time they don't connect to the right network properly, the screen says "SOS calls only". But that was months ago, I haven't tried them recently.

Most phones are at least 3 years old so these types of issues shouldn't happen any more...
