Personally I would like to see 10-20 mins talk, 1000 TXTs with 200MB data for around $20 :) :)

  • The $19 combo updated to match the Vodafone prepay smart offering (50 mins, 100 Mb)

I only see $25 / month for 50 min 100 mb 2500 txt

Yes - what I was meaning was that 2degrees started with the $19 combo, then Vodafone responded with the prepay smart which gives you an extra 20mins and 50MB for only $6 more.  I am hoping that 2degrees respond with a counteroffer matching the mins and data offering of Vodafone's prepay smart, but retaining their $19 pricepoint.

+1 for that, similar to the telecom offerings

TalkTextData$20 per month 20mins talk 1000txt 200MB
I would be all over this telecom plan if my phone was telecom xt compatible

Yes, I am all over it cause my dual-sim smartphone does both 2G and 3G, so atm I have gone with the telecom one cause it beats 2Degrees offerings, so have telecom as primary and 2 Degrees as secondary in the phone :)

My real problem with 2d is the national data rates.

IMHO if 2d wants to be really competitive with the new age of cheap android phones everywhere, they (at the very least) need to match (or better) the Telecom TalkTextData pack.

Telecom:
$20 per month, 20 min, 1000 txt, **200MB** national data

2Degrees:
$19 per month, 30 min, 2500 txt, **50**MB national data.

Data is far more important than txts in the smartphone era. 50MB is worthless. You still have to disable mobile data connections on your phone so you don't go though it. You are thinking at every turn how to use less. Once you get 150MB/mth you start worrying less and just let yourself use your phone anywhere without thinking and without turning data off.

better combo, less txt, more min or data, 300-500 txt, 60 min, 50mb
reduced price in 100min calling anyone in NZ, currently $30
smaller txt pack will be great, 2500 is way too much, $5 for 1000 is unrealistic, but $5 for 150-300 is good enough

Wish 2 Degree can extend topup time from 1 year to 2 years or longer, so my mum can stop worrying about expiry of previous top-up, stop calling me for no reason...:-)

I can neither confirm nor deny.

iPad Air + iPhone SE + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

And when would "watch this space" come to fruition another week has near gone and no movement on pricing. .

And another week has elapsed and still waiting to see the results of "watch this space" perhaps POB could update this thread at some stage.
