Can anyone recommend any reliable SMTP services? Ive just had a client signup for domain email hosting without consulting me first and they're adamant they don't want to change from this particular provider. Only problem is they don't provide SMTP and say to use your internet providers SMTP, in this case my client is with Spark and they don't have an xtra email account they can use, Spark are apparently not currently allowing anymore new xtra accounts until the server move is complete. Tried gmail SMTP but Gmail is rewriting the email headers and mail sent appears to be sent from the gmail address not clients domain name.

Make sure to set up SPF records for the domain.

Probably getting a bit OT but can you not convince them how horrible POP3 / SMTP is as an email solution? It's not 1989 any longer..

I don't see why anybody would go with an email solution that doesn't use EAS / ActiveSync these days.
