Do we know why zerohedge was blocked by ISP's? I can't access it on 2degrees.

I'm guessing Breitbart and Foxnews are next?

Well I've been thinking about swapping out to a new ISP for a while, and now I have my reason.

This whole thing seems just like a PR campaign by the the ISPs.. using a tragedy to stay on the good side of the public. If it had anything to do with the actual video then they should have blocked facebook and youtube.

i can't say i have ever gone to that site before, but... after reading some of the articles on said site, i can certainly identify horrific material.

I'll give it, because they post a lot of content, it's multiple pages down but still.. on the day, that would have been front and center.

Just because it's a still from the video, does not make it any better.

Honestly, some of the content i just saw, i'd expect to see on /b/ in a gore thread not a 'news site'

Note: before it's implied due to my workplace; I have no list of the blocked sites, i have had no intention of seeking out what is blocked.

I'm commenting on this simply as an end user.

Could you imagine the public outcry then? People were calling 111 last week because facebbok and twitter were down :(

I guess they were hosting a copy of the video.

This is insulting and wrong. Sites that are proactively working to take the illegal material down or are responding to requests to take material down are either not blocked, or can be removed from the list.

Stop making up and spreading misinformation - you know nothing about how we're attempting to deal with a situation with no precedent. Not here, not _anywhere_. I guarantee you this is not being done for PR reasons.

Anyway, here's a relevant video from a non-blocked site.

I think the answer to this would be clear, without need to ask why...
