A couple of days ago, I dropped my Nexus 5 and the screen shattered. It still works and I am currently waiting for Fone Bitz in Wellington to let me know how much to fix.

However ...

Since I dropped it, the phone now is unable to hold a charge. Yesterday I would charge the phone and within a couple of hours it would be asking me to connect to charger. Last night, at midnight, I took the phone off the charger at 100%. This morning at 7am it was on 4%. I am not running Bluetooth or location, so nothing significantly battery draining. Before the drop, it was as good as gold.

So any thoughts on how the drop may have affected the phone this way????

cheers

My comment was directed to the OP, where I mentioned in an earlier thread something like this: http://ladiesdetective.com/img/i-blason-armorbox-for-google-nexus-5-by-lg-dual-layer-hybrid-full-body-protective-case-with-front-cover-and-built-in-screen-protector-and-impact-resistant-bumpers_66963_.jpg

Heh, think you missed what JohnR meant.

Anyway not everyone likes a case of sorts to cover their phones.

I knew where he was coming from

It would have needed to be a bubble wrap case, it fell out of a gym locker at height onto concrete floor. This is my third smart phone over last 4 years ... all naked ... 1st fatal drop.
