Since upgrading to my S6 which sports lollipop when I am on a voice call and a text message comes in it plays the notification sound which drowns out both myself as well as the person on the other end of the call.

I have looked and looked under all the settings and I must have missed it but where do I turn the ability of the stock messaging app to do this off does anybody know.

I'm not 100% sure because I don't have an S6, but try this:

Settings > Sound & Notification > Interruptions.
   - Set When calls and notifcations arrive to Don't interrupt .
   - Under App notifications select your message app and check the settings there too.

Alternatively, have a look at the advice here and see if any of it helps.

Cheers for the reply those settings do not show up on my S6 , The link has some great info however the modes they mention for notifications and interruptions do not show up as they say either.

Anybody's stock S6 doing the same thing as mine ???
