Hi,

I have a Nexus 7, Mk1, V5.1.1 that has been running very slowly, stopping, starting, noisy etc so finally bit the bullet and reset it in recovery mode which wiped it clean, as expected. When  restarted the version is V5.7.14.19. I use "GPS Status" app which worked perfectly before the rest, however, after it reloaded my apps it will no longer show any satellites ( same app in Samsung phone shows plenty of them) ever though "Location" is in "High Accuracy" using GPS, WiFi and Cell nets.

I decided to uninstall/reinstall GPS Status to see if that would work but there is no longer an App Manager in Settings or anywhere else that i can find.

Does anyone know how to uninstall an app in this 5.7.14.19 version and have any thoughts on why the GPS function is no longer working?

Chris D

I have a V1 Nexus 7 which I recently factory reset and it is still showing firmware as 5.1.1 and build LMY47V

What is your build number

With this new version the Settings are very different and the build number is no longer shown. It didn't seem necessary to note it as it was always available. No longer so, but it was very similar to yours

When you wiped it did you load a new image as it sounds like you don't have on an official Google Rom.

My Nexus 7 is completely stock, not rooted or modified. I followed the instructions given here in the last topic, "How to Fix Android 5.1.1 Problems If Nothing Else Works" at http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/05/12/nexus-android-5-1-1-problems-fixes/
