just brought the mrs a p8 lite Huawei...quite impressed... now hunt is on for my first andrioid handset...Considering...P9 lite...thoughts...?...Or other phones to consider...Don't want 5.5" bit big I 5 "' although p9 5.2'' price under 500$ preferably..Rather keen on p9 lite at this stage

Take a look at the Nexus 5X which can be picked up for quite cheap right now. It has the latest version of Android, decent specs and within your pricerange.

If I was buying today it would be a Nexus. It is the only platform with guaranteed timely security updates.

That said, others are slow with updates but most arrive eventually.

Purely on specs, Nexus is a half step behind for the same money. That would not bother me, but depends on your particular habits of use.

standard use id say normal things,,,few apps ,camera important,.. not really for games..just the odd one.. just liked the mrs p8lite I brought and was hoping to get some replies on p9 lite...def looking at nexus at mo as well...although no sd card..

No SD, but like all phones now you can plug in any USB storage with an adaptor.

Or skip the adaptor and use one of the new mini USB/C things directly:

I have used phones with low internal storage and it's a pain but having photos and videos sync automatically on home WiFi to google drive or similar keeps it clear.

But yeah not much space for a music collection is a challenge.
