Can Def recommend Spigen gear. Have one for my S8 which works well for wireless charging.

Added bonus is the lip around the front which is only 1 or 2mm that holds the screen off the ground if you drop it, negating the need for a screen protector a little.

Never had much luck with screen protectors on the curved screens, even after getting Samsung store to fit.

This is what I'm seeing on the S10 page at vodafone. Is there a different way to get the discount and stay on interest free without signing up a contract? I'm currently on Spark and don't plan to change because I use the free Spotify premium offer.

That is an open term plan - you're free to leave any time. Previously, they would have required you to sign up to a 24 month contract phone plan before you got any phone assistance. This is quite a change - effectively they are now in the business of consumer credit lending for phone purchases rather than mobile phone plan sales!

I spoke to someone in Noel Leeming (2 degrees agent) waiting there to sign up new customers.

He said the stand down period for the open plan is Only for iPhone and not S10.

The $200 off is from the phone purchase price. The open plan when cancelled the phone price (balance) had to be paid off in full.

Even the $29 charged at the start is taken off from the phone price. The plan can be minimum of $40 open term plan.

Ok, was pleasantly surprised walking into Noel Leeming (Featherston Street, Wellington) to see working demos of the three S10 variants in store.

Having played with both the S10e and S10, I am now genuinely torn between the two. The S10e is smaller and has a flat screen, but the S10 is a very nice phone - and comes with the telephoto and bigger battery. I compared it with the S9 and it is slightly taller.

In hand, these are very nice phones - if you are in Wellington CBD, pop in for a look.

I don't really want to waste $90 on a Samsung case if it negates one of the reasons I'm upgrading (watch charging).
I found that third party cases prevented wireless charging on my S8 and ended up using a thin hard plastic one so it could still be charged.

I have the Samsung protective case for my note 9. It's quite a thick cover, thicker than my spigen one. However i use the kickstand in the Samsung cover and wireless charging does work so that's the one i use. Highly recommended.

It is frustrating that so few of the cases aim to do much for the screen. Many aeons ago for one of my phones I had a leather cover with a flap that closed over the screen (or folded back out of the way) and was actually held shut if you wanted it to be, so that the phone was more or less protected in all directions from scratches etc.

Gorilla glass scratches very easily IME - keys in the pocket are enough - so an enclosing case is useful for preventing that.

She charged me 1269 for the handset on 12 months spread.

Just tried my Gear S3 on the display model of the S10 at NL Wairau Park (Auckland) and it does indeed charge it. I wasn't able to try putting a cover between the phone and my watch because of the anti-theft device on the phone.
The S10e looked nice and has a flat screen which I have always preferred to the edge display but I also want the front fingerprint sensor.
I have always put my phone in a full cover since HTC One days. Even more important now with a complete front face and two edges that need to be protected.

I have the 2degrees contract with me along with a new sim card which I just signed up from NL for a S10 128GB.

The handset cost is reduced from $1499 to $1298 ($201 discount) minus the $29 upfront payment they need as per their terms listed here making the cost of the handset balance to be paid as $1269.

On the contract I signed, the total MRO (mobile repayment option) payment remaining is $1269. The terms are here. It does not mention anything about S10 but there is mention of iPhone 7, iPhone SE/6, Samsung S7, Samsung S7 Edge, Samsung S7 Edge Pearl.

I have legally signed to pay $1269 in full should I wish to cancel the plan that I took with the deal. The plan cancellation conditions are here.

There is absolutely no mention of paying back the $201 discount they gave me on the handset if I cancel the plan.

I should technically be able to do that right away (not saying I would).

However there is a charge of 1.75% credit card fee (here) for paying the outstanding balance via credit card which is understandable.
