jeeg:Where abouts is that free Samsung 43" with Vodafone? Can't find it anywhere.
scoobydoo:
VF are also offering a Samsung 43" TV free with S10+ as well, so another $1100ish worth of freebie
Unfortunately I didn't get that offer but I'll have a look at Vodafone tomorrow

That's targeted to specific customers
I noted an interesting comment on one of the Exynos/Snapdragon articles I read.
A commenter asked why the Exynos version was not 10% cheaper given it performed less well and pointed out that a laptop with a slower chip usually costs less than a similar one with a faster chip....
Kiwiavi8: It's a good deal, the TV rrp is $1100 but you can buy for around $600.
Vodafone lock you in for 24mths and you have to pay back the $1100 if you leave (pro-rata).
How times have changed, would never have dreamed of getting a free TV when I bought my Nokia 3310.
World gone mad?

Nah... Nokia just doesn't make TV's ;)
I've noted that several reviews have said that the in screen fingerprint system works because it is somehow in harmony with the Qualcomm chipset.
This must be untrue because otherwise it would not work with the Exynos versions, and it does. I wonder if anyone has tested the fingerprint scanner to see if it works faster/more accurately on Qualcomm versions of the phone?
Has anyone heard about potential shipment dates? I have asked Vodafone a couple times and got a different answer each time.
The first time they said it would arrive "after the 4th or 5th". Then I was told it would arrive after the official launch date of the 8th.
I was sent a text yesterday afternoon saying my number would port to Vodafone on the morning of the 7th.
On another note... I preordered with Vodafone before I saw the offer for the free TV. They don't seem to be willing to add it on after the fact, which I'm not real happy with.

I was told Samsung has a habit of releasing the phones early. Never preordered any phones before so I wouldn't know.
Did you sign up to vodafone through the free tv link?
No, unfortunately. You can access the offer through Vodafone's Facebook page as of last night. They claim they have no way of adding the free TV to your order unless you place the order through that ad.

The free TV is a good deal ONLY if you stay with Vodafone for the full 24 months - you are effectively getting a $600 street price TV for free. However, if you want to leave Vodafone prior to 24 months, you have to repay pro-rata the $1,100 for a TV you could have bought for $600.
If you don't need a new TV, the free buds and $200 discount is probably the more useful pre-order option.

It looks like I could get the $200 discount with the TV, but to be totally honest I am not sure if I'll stay the full two years. You're right that I'm probably better off without it. Not like I really need a new TV anyway.
Man, I've been humming and hawing over whether to get an S10 to replace my aging iPhone 6s+. But that would mean I lose some functionality between my Apple devices, including my Apple Watch series 4. However, I'm not a fan of how Apple has been treating their customers with the price increases and the constant nickel and diming including the omission of a headphone jack, headphone adaptor or fast charger in the box. But their ecosystem is definitely very nice. So unbelievably torn :(
