invisibleman18: Had been dithering over it but finally decided to go for the Vodafone S10 with TV deal yesterday. Quite excited for the phone with it being my first high end one having always gone for lower end models around the $300 mark until now. I expect I've ordered too late for it to be in the first batch delivered this week but hopefully won't be too long a wait.

Congrats on your purchase. It's a good deal.

Placed an order for the S10 at the Samsung kiosk at Sylvia Park today. The rep told me they had the phones in stock and are shipping them out today for online orders. Those who preordered on the Samsung website might receive them tomorrow. I'll be picking mine up on Friday.

If it's anything like the note 9 release then people getting phone shipped might receive them early depending on if the courier God's smile on you. People who order in store will only ever get their phone on release day.

If it's anything like the Galaxy watch release then your won't get your precious on release day even if you order from the Samsung kiosk and they swear to you that it will be there in release day then you won't get it for weeks.

I am not getting this phone but still excited for you guys.

To be honest I’m not that fussed when I get my S10. I kicked myself for not getting in on the PBTech launch deals when I got my S8, so decided to get in early this time ‘while stocks lasted’.
There is every chance my S10 will stay in its box until the cover I have ordered arrives. Or at the very least it won’t be used ‘in the wild’ until then. I may just set it up to ensure it’s not DOA and then go about setting up the Arlo Pro.
Not really the geek creed I know, but my S8 is purring along at the moment and the S10 will take a bit of tweaking anyway.

What case did you get? I just grabbed a clear Spigen from PB since the phone doesn't come with a clear case unlike s9.

Good point. Why doesn't the S10+ come with a clear TPU case like its recent predecessors? I have seen a few YouTube unboxings where they mention a clear case out of the box...

I think you will be ok. They had production problems with the Galaxy watch and yes i did cancel and then but it from noles a month later when it was 20% off. What annoyed me was that they assured me it would be there on release day and then a couple of hours later they rang to say it was delayed. I be waited until mid the following week and then got the refund in frustration after being told about the second round of delays.
