Good so far for the plus. Disappointed in the clear view case - I thought it had a stand.

Fingerprint scanner is cool - but I don't like having to tap the screen to make it appear.

Hi all,

For those that pre-ordered S10+ in-store at Noel Leeming, has anyone received any notification to say the phone is ready to be picked up?

I ordered mine on the last day of the pre-order so I am probably further down the list, plus the notice on NL's website saying S10+ delays is 2-3 weeks.

When did the pre-order end ?

I ordered mine last thing on Sunday the 3rd, got rung on the 6th to say come and get it, then they called again and said sorry can't give it to you until the 8th...

That's odd. They called me this morning to ask if I was available for delivery tomorrow or Friday for the TV. Arranged for this Saturday to my home address instead which will be easier than having to get it home from work.

24 hours in with my S10e, my thoughts to far:

- I love and hate the side finger print reader. Love it because it's so easy to reach. Hating it because it's so easy to reach - I'm getting lots of haptic buzzes every time I accidentally brush it. Face unlock works great.

- Love my Samsung leather cover - fits my phone like a glove. Phone build quality is great.

- I'm liking One UI apart from the large comical icons. I was an Action Launcher user, but will stick with One UI on the basis that I reckon it will be kinder on the battery. Black wallpaper and dark mode - looks great and should be kinder on the battery.

- The buds are great for the gym, but sound falls short of my Sennhesier wireless IE momentum. The best part of the free buds is the extra USB C cable. There have been some sync issues between the buds - hopefully a firmware fix will arrive.

- Despite all the technological advances over the last 10 years, it's disappointing to see the S10 still comes with 2008 ringtones!

- Speed is great.

- Really happy to see no preinstalled Facebook or Instagram. No obvious bloatware apart from Samsung apps.

- Headphone jack. I don't use it often, but great to have the option if my wireless options batteries are dead. Plus the free buds and fast charger are great (I'm looking at you Apple).

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but two things I thought were present that would mitigate that - I think there is a setting in the biometrics tab to have a symbol show up on the screen to show you where the fingerprint reader is, and secondly in the videos I've seen online people seem to be just tapping once and it registers the finger, no need to do an initial tap to make it appear first?

You don't need to, no.

However, my experience is that tapping will get you nowhere. It's much more of a press.

So with just under a week with the S10+ and wife with the S10e I have to say it’s a beautiful device but man, I’m having no luck with this phone.

-My dialler lags and even freezes when trying to make calls
-Fingerprint scanner is very hit and miss. I double downed on my fingerprint with minimal change.
-certain apps crash like chrome and the keyboard lags something chronic when typing.
-accidentally waking the phone is pmo
-Galaxy buds are uncomfortable for my ears, I can’t use that style as it hurts my ears I much prefer my AirPods

I’ve hard reset the phone and it has fixed things intermittently or not at all. I’m seriously considering taking it back for a refund or hoping a vanilla rom pops up on XDA really soon so I can scrub it. Or Samsung drops a software update (not holding my breath)

I’ve pulled my trade me auction for my XS Max for now and have currently gone back to my iPhone. My venture back to where it all started for me on Android has been marred by what can probably be considered a slightly isolated problem but I feel like it’s a reminder to why I crossed over to start with.

Hi All

just recently got a galaxy s10+ and I am having issues setting up Google Assistance.  I try and setup voice match and it just doesn't recognise the setup process of saying "OK Google".  I have all the updates and done a factory reset but its still not working.

Can anyone help at all? or is this a recognised issue? I cant find any issues searching through google.

Thanks

Based on that, sounds like I will be a long way down the list

Harvey Norman - it's the official Samsung cover $79.

I tried Noel's and JB first, but they had limited options.

S10e owner here ...

I've used the dialler extensively over the last two days, no issues at all, and no keyboard lags or crashes at all - so it may be an issue with your particular handset, not the wider series.

Turn off 'lift to wake' in gestures - this will fix your accidentally waking
