Kiwiavi8: Re the tradein I just sent my old s8 in for assessment. It is mint without a blemish and they won't give me the full amount. So don't bet on getting the full amount

Heard a few things like that last time as well. What did you expect and what did they offer?

I kind of wish they would roll it out to stores or something so you can be there when they look at it, you never know what can happen with couriers and postage

I filled in the online form which offered $450, they've now come back after assessment and said due to one or more of the following: "screen has fading, scratches, cracks, pixelated or bleeding" they can only offer $300.

I'd be interested to see if anyone gets the full amount as it is a good example, never dropped, and been in a case since new.  Still had the sticker on the back with the imei number.

I've asked for a better explanation so will wait weeks no doubt!

I regret not taking a picture now before I sent it, I'll be gutted if there is any sort of damage to it.

Yes always smart to take pictures of it before sending, i guess if you're not happy with the $300 you could ask for it back?

It would go for more on trademe/ facebook i would think

Loving my free bundled buds now that I have played around with the different wings and buds to get the perfect fit. They connect every time on opening, don't budge when in ear, provide great sound isolation (so good I have to remove one for phone calls) and the synchronisation issues I had on my first day using them have not returned. My only complaint is that I wish they were black, but you can't have everything in this world.

Got the TV yesterday so will set that up on the weekend. Still not received anything on how to claim the Netflix offer though and just doubled checked the email offer I signed up through and definitely should have got it. Will chase up Vodafone about it.

Edit: Got it sorted now.

Is anyone else having issues with the fingerprint scanner? I wouldnt have expected it be the same level as a physical scanner, but it seems to be close to unusable for me.

If anyone is after a DEX dock I am happy to sell mine as I don't use it.  It's the first gen one that comes with the eithernet port.

Mine works flawlessly.

My recommendation is wipe all finger print data. Re set up post using some hand sanitizer.

Anyone know when, and if the Galaxy Buds will be made available at more stores? So far I can only see them being sold at Noel Leeming ($299, lol) and PBTech. I'm not giving PBTech $10 for a cable let alone $269 (what they're listing the buds for).

Yeah, this is why I'm not interested in paying $299. Was hoping to get a local warranty.

Will look into ordering from Amazon at some stage.

Gutting. There should be some compensation in these cases i think. Free case etc etc.
