I think samsung has been amoled since the beginning.  I think the pentile matrix started with the S3 and the note 2 having the slightly bigger screen didn't have it.  Pentile matrix was one way they packed more pixels in for higher res displays.

Samsung Galaxy S was an OLED? Wow, how come it took Apple like 15 years to make an OLED phone?

Because a AMOLED panel cost $500, an led panel cost $50 and Apple like their sky high profit margins. I think the micro led they have changed to is a lot cheaper.

Fair enough, I don't pay much attention to Apple.  I think Micro LED is the next generation screen tech they are working on and it's not quite here yet.

Nobody does screens quite as good as Samsung.  LG make the OLED screens used in the pixels and the first couple of models had lots of complaints about weird colors and wash out when viewed from an angle.  Samsung had those problems back in the Galaxy s3 days, they just spend the time, money and iterations to work through all of it and now it's awesome.  I stopped watching netflix on my tablet because the screen on my Note 9 was noticeably better.

I keep finding that mine has saved screenshots.

Since I have not the faintest idea how to do that deliberately, I must be doing something accidentally to trigger it.

There is a smart gesture for screenshots so turn that off in settings.

i read somewhere you don't want the Exynos, you want the Snapdragon.
