It's a shame the lock screen only shows for 5 seconds and you can't change that. I have a very cool video that I play when the lock screen shows but it cuts is off after 5 seconds unless I touch the screen every 4.9 seconds. I swear there is no menu setting to alter that. I have looked for 4 days. Even a youtuber says you cannot change that lock out time period.

But it could be as simple as the phone doesn't like my video lol, that could be it.

Does anyone know the full differences between the Spark/2Degrees versions of the s10/s10e/s10+?

E.g. can a 2degrees version work fine on Skinny/Spark network (incl LTE band 28 700mhz), and does it just have 2degrees apps on it? (instead of the spark version have spark app)

Reason I ask, is Noel Leeming and PB Tech appear to sell the 2 Degrees version (SM-G970FZKANZC - listed on the website), but not a spark version?
I'm swaying towards buying from NL, but wanted to confirm carrier version differences.
Thanks

Thanks, good to know. I presume yours just has a preloaded 2degrees app then?

2degrees is probably the one to go for because if you ever switch to them then you have wifi calling.

I haven't even used the phone yet and I've noticed that my font size (yes font size) changes at random.

From my experience Samsung commands a special kind of love hate relationship. Actually all mobile phones but I don't know why the feeling is stronger on Samsung. My Huawei handicaps me a lot and I don't seem to complain.

Agreed I've had the font change several times today, obviously something is optimising in the background.....

Out exercising this morning using Samsung health, the buds and Spotify and the music kept pausing and a tone every 20secs or so, all started today includong the font, so something happening in the background.

Hopefully it will all settledown.

Love the auto reset function overnight, I realised without it I would go maybe weeks without restarting the phone!

Can't speak highly enough of how good the phone is though.

What auto reset?

Warning, auto reset kills your morning alarm!

I haven't used in anger yet but when I tested it worked.

Did you get caught out?

It occurred to me that it might be better just to reset in the middle of the day. I'm often on call and that might be a better way.

I have had my phone set to restart since i got it on pre order.

What i found was that the alarm still went off at the right time but the music played was the default. it was only after i unlocked the phone & it could finish its start up routine that the alarm music was set back to the one i had chosen. the lockscreen + always on clocks, were also effected in this way

Which I deleted (or disabled can’t remember which). Works fine on Spark.

Phone will work on any network here.
Also 2d wifi calling seems to work on non 2degrees phones now. I have a dual sim s10+ from the EU and wifi calling on 2d works on it.

Picked up an s10e today, and first little weird thing I noticed, while the phone is sitting on a desk/table (e.g. not being held in the hand), the screen doesn't respond to touch input?
Unless I touch one finger to the edge first, like grounding it?

Strange, as my Galaxy A3 2017 (which I'm upgrading from), doesn't have this issue, quite often have phone sitting on desk, notification comes up, and I can swipe it away with one finger.

Edit... managed to solve this, under Display options, turned on "Touch sensitivity" to increase sensitivity, due to the glass screen protector I had installed from Harvey Norman.

Googling around it seems there's an update out there already for reassigning of the Bixby button. Checking for updates from my phone says I already have the latest. It's been a long while since I used a Samsung phone... since the S3 to be precise. How do updates get pushed to phones in NZ these days? Is the telco the gate keeper for OTA updates?

I assigned the button when I got the phone out of the box no trouble.

How did you do that? When I look at the "Bixby key" item in config it says "The Bixby key setting isn't available yet..." etc.
