I think the buds are great. I was super surprised by them.

Absolutely love the buds too. First wireless headphones I've used and find then really comfortable with great sound for my use (basically gym and train commute to work). Having been using an iPod with wired headphones until getting this phone, the buds have been amazing for the gym especially.

They aren't headphones.

They are uncomfortable and if I use big enough tips to seal them properly, all I hear in quiet parts is my heartbeat.

My Sony noise cancelling headphones are way better.

Owning multiple headphones, yes, my Sony wireless ones are better. Of course.

But these are my first pair of wireless ear buds and they are so great for working out and commuting, with surprising sound quality. I also like how easy it is to connect them, no fluffing about with turning them on.

I did have to switch over to the larger ear piece before it was comfortable. Now I can almost forget they are in. Only major improvement would be for them to be completely water proof.

Sound quality is fine with the large bits as it seals well. Uncomfortable and can hear heartbeat though. Medium less secure, worse sound but more comfortable.

I'm not a fan of in ear monitors in general though. I think these would be better with foam tips not silicone ones.

The buds are the best part of my new phone. These are the first buds that are absolutely perfect for the gym and I love the way they automatically connect. Sound isolation and bass is great and there is no chance they will fall out. I use the largest tips and the rubber outer that has no wings (for me, the wings pull the buds out from my ear canal), whereas my partner uses mid size tips with the larger wings, so it pays to try a range of options to find what is best for you and your ear shape.

“Ear buds” then to be pedantic (I suppose I still think of them as “headphones” as they are my first of this type, and are used for the same purpose), but the point still stands. Loving them and they are perfect for my needs – gym and work commute. I’ve found them super comfortable and secure with the tip and wing already on them out of the box, so haven’t felt I’ve needed to try the other sizes yet. No issue with sound quality, and haven’t had the issue of hearing my heartbeat either. Each to their own.

Just a question if anyone else noticed, not sure if it makes a difference.

I ordered my S10 from PBTech. When the box arrived it had 2degrees sticker on it. The phone & earbuds were wrapped together, looks like factory wrapped. I put my Vodafone sim in, works all good, so it is unlocked.

Does that mean PB are sourcing their stock from 2D?

There have been occasions where I am unable to distinguish my Text Messages from the 101 notifications that the phone dishes out ...

Secondly, when i open the message app it doesn't show me my new messages but it takes me to my last opened message and then cancels all notifications and I have missed messages that way ...

is there any way to continuously remind me of my new text messages without installing some third party app?

Like some always on circles or something

ASD4 update is pushing out as we speak.

This is the one that comes with the April security patch as well as the Night mode in camera settings

PB tech should have all three models in stock so get the one you want.  The 2 degrees sim does have wifi calling which is handy if you want to swap to 2 degrees at some stage in the future.
