Updated here on Spark, no issues experienced
The little things make the biggest difference.
Annedroyd: Large update on Spark this morning with various improvements.
Thanks for the heads-up; I'm downloading it at the moment (I'm with Kogan, so also available for those on Vodafone, I assume).
Cheers for the heads up, downloading on my S10+ on Voda now
Updated my S10 a couple of days ago and only just got round to checking it.
The biggest thing I can see is it’s now on One UI 2.1. Which introduces a whole bunch of tweaks, including things like being able to deep sleep apps. May have to revisit “Jimmy is Promo” youtube channel now the update has arrived.

I'd not come across this channel before so just checked it out; the first video I watched was one on tips to speeding up the fingerprint reader. OMG, what a difference this has made to unlocking my phone! This has been my biggest bugbear with the S10+, and these tips certainly have improved the speed and number of false positives.
Would recommend anyone who finds the fingerprint scanner frustrating at least give these ideas a go.
My S10+ updated with the April security patch and other minor updates. Since then the Biometrics have been troublesome. Finger print scanning has been very hit or miss and Face unlock is very slow. I have rescanned my fingers and my face and that has not fixed the issue. Is anyone here experiencing similar or experienced similar and cured it?
I didn’t bother with the two thumb trick, but I did turn off the com.........biometrics setting from the video. The fingerprint unlock is plenty quick enough. I have got face recognition turned on as well.
There are still some features, particularly to do with the camera, that are only available on the S20 version of One UI 2.1.

I have also found this, thought the screen might just be dirty.
I would be interested to know if all inscreen FP readers are like this. It's pretty annoying, even when it is working.
Has anyone else had complaints that they are very quiet through the phone?
People tell me all the time from new this year.
Any tips to improve the mic volume, im picking its this....

Which model in particular?
I get similar complaints from some. I’ve wondered if it’s partly the sheer length of the phone (a +) meaning it’s difficult to get the mic lined up with the mouth and the top speaker with the ear.
I don’t want to resort to what my in-laws do in always using their phone in hands free mode, no matter who or how many people are around to listen in on their calls!

Just a base S10, i get the complaint alot.
The main thing i want my phone to do, phone, is not great.
Noel Leeming has told me that the Galaxy S10+ has Snapdragon and not Exynos. Can anyone confirm that this is true with prior experience? I got told yesterday that all Samsung in NZ come with Exynos...
Edit: Side question. If it does have Snapdragon, is it still worth buying today, I think yes? For $1300, can almost get a S20, or iphone 11. Thanks
