Anyway I was shocked that Samsung found my name that was in my Gmail account and applied it to my Samsung account. So it spied on me during the update

I bought my S10+ from VFNZ, and I am still with them. Please excuse me if this question has been asked before... are firmware updates in NZ dependent on, or affected by, who you're with? I'm still stuck on Dec 2020 update.

Also stuck with December on Spark. Very much unacceptable to have no updates. We should be getting monthly updates for many years to come given the four years of security updates announced today.

1 March comes and goes, and I'm still sitting here waiting with 1 Dec update being the latest. Sigh...

Anyone have an inside info on why the S10e still hasn't received the latest firmware patch in NZ? From looking at Sammobile, it appears that we are one of the last countries in the world to get the latest update. We're coming up to 3 months without a firmware update (last update in December). I have a "SM-G970F" model, purchased direct from Spark.

It's not just the 10e. 10+ hasn't received it, either. Really not sure why NZ is seeing such a delay with this update (no NZ network variants seem to have received the update)

@amanzi: It's not just the S10e that's waiting for an update - AFAIK all of us with any model from the S10 series are stuck on the Dec update. I've been checking every couple of of days.. Batman's indication of getting it on 'Monday' (ie 11 days ago) makes this seem a bit like the Peter Cook sketch about preparing for the end of the world...

Very disgraceful that a flagship phone is now a full quarter behind on security updates! Sure Android 11 is coming, but this is simply not acceptable given the number of people who will have them as corporate devices.

From what I can tell the big update to Android 11 and OneUI 3 (for the S10) was pulled due to bugs and stability problems. They probably can’t roll out subsequent security updates until the OS update has been done. Therefore we are stuck with the December security patch until then.

As far as corporate phones go, I would rather have a stable phone than a buggy one.

They should be able to roll out patches to the current version, it's happening in the US for example...

For devices released and sold by NZ networks? Or imported models?
