Hard to say without crunching some numbers, because by default we redirect mobile visitors to the mobile site, so only people who click the link to visit the full site would be counted.

But looking at the raw numbers for the full site, it's very small, something like 3.5%.

As you know, I'm sure, there's a strong drive in business to cash in on the apparent trend toward mobile internet use, although as a developer, I have doubts that the trend is as strong as some think. Of course, it's way stronger in specific demographics, and similarly, basically non-existent in others.

Still, 3.5% is higher than I'd have believed (I figured around a percent or two at the most) so my work isn't in vain after all. :-)

So thanks for the info Mauricio, and much as I recognise that your audience has a higher proportion of the tech savvy, bleeding edge early adopters than others, it's still good info for my next client prezzo. :D

At least I won't be pulling the numbers from the outer interface of my alimentary canal. :-)

Depends I guess, being a simple concept yet a massively complex chemistry, but...

So, that's Portugal or probably more likely Brasil? Whichever, I had no idea that the food tube was so much a relic of the Romans, although why that would surprise me, I can't fathom. They were, of all civilisations, the most in tune with digesting stuff. :-)

Again, thanks everyone for your input.... don't worry I am fully aware of the limitations of stats outside of the hard and fast numbers of actual handsets (which I am not likely to prize out of the hands of all the telcos and parallel importers)

But what you can see from the Telcos and Grey brigades are what devices they're promoting and selling. A look at their product range/mix will give an indication of the current market.

However I'd say that with XT only a few years young, and 2degs (3G datawise) younger again, then you have a large number of users who may have committed to handset/devices that weren't the full enchilada when it comes to the current crop of all screen touch-screen devices that we now assume to be 'what one must have'.

The iphone defined that 'smart-phone' descriptor well before we had the network options to support it, or other comparable devices, irrespective of platform.
