NZtechfreak: Samsung JB firmware leaked on XDA right now.

Mobile Odin will retain Root, TriangleAway working (confirmed by the man himself, Chainfire).

you tried it yet?

Not yet. Using 'effing Hotfile for the download, download failed twice last night with no resume possible and before bed nobody had arranged a better mirror. Will try again tomorrow (at Slash tonight, so no ROM flash for me).

In terms of this being a wipe ROM, doesn't bother me at all. I always wipe on a fresh flash. Titanium Backup makes restoration simple.

Theres a new Jelly Bean OTA update out XXBLH4

Is this for international versions?

Yes, supposedly more stable too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836802

Using a SGS3 2Degree phone on Vodafone. If I look at the call settings -> voicemail it shows 2Degrees as the service and their voicemail number. Anyone have a clue what these settings do (since calling 707 on the phone gives me VF voicemail anyway) and if they need to be changed? If so, how can they be changed?

Is anyone else seeing problems with charging or bluetooth after the recent OTA that came from 2degrees?

I got the LF2 OTA a few days ago, and ever since then I can't charge my phone most of the time, plugging it in is detected by the phone and stops it from discharging but generally doesn't increase the charge. I've tried taking the battery out etc.

As well as this, it's become much more unreliable when connecting or disconnecting from a bluetooth car stereo - sometimes becomes unresponsive apart from a green notification light flashing, sometimes spontaneously restarts the phone shortly after turning bluetooth on.

Not happy :( We have two S3's in the household that both got the same update and this one seems to have taken it badly.

(Quick edit: the phone is stock and not rooted)

No problems here after the OTA update a few days ago.  Charging is ok but i don't use Bluetooth much so can't comment on that.

Hi Guys,

I rooted my phone a while ago, but now i can't seem to update OTA (2Degress) for that new firmware. It tries installing, but then on boot CWM recover boots and say the signature couldn't be verified.

Is there something special i need to do to update on a rooted phone?

Thanks!

Nope, but it doesn't seem to affect how voicemail works anyway. It makes me wonder why that setting is even in there.

It may be coincidental that this started happening after the update. My phone hit problems with charging before the update and if you search you will find that this is not an isolated issue. Try resetting your phone back to factory (after backing everything up, of course, because you will lost everything on it) and see if this helps. If not, then you need to talk to the retailer you bought it from.

Damn, Just got my S3 yesterday and assumed "reset" didn't wipe the internal SD like the good ol S2.

Well so far so good, have flashed wanam's deodexed LH4 jelly bean over stock ICS and touchwood no issues or FC's.

I think most will be fairly happy with the direction Samsung have taken it

Yeps factory reset from within stock rom.

I hadnt't had a phone for a week, once i got my S3, i put my sim in and got a week's worth of texts. My S3 was second hand. So downloaded sms backup and restore to save my texts (as always). Then reset the phone. I was surprised to find the internal sd totally wiped also! The S2 gives you the option of also wiping the internal sd. The S3 (stock) doesnt. I was a bit annoyed at losing a decent number of texts.

Same here, although it took a while to read through 80 odd pages on XDA to figure out the best way to do it. Quite a few reboots, backups and restores.

I have one problem however. The Samsung calendar does not retain the list of calendars that I use so each time the phone wakes up I get the message "There are no Calendars Selected". Other calendar widgets are fine as long as I explicitly specify which calendars I want instead of selecting "same as app". Not really too much of a problem.

Also, I still get the 2degrees update notification... Must look into how to stop that.
