This is the worst wait I have ever had for a device...never liked Samsung phones, never wanted one even when I bought the One X, now I'm like some cheap cocaine junky all jittery waitin for my next fix. I'll take whatever colour I can get!

Motor: I must admit having kids and getting older has made me more patient, I am going to see if VF can give me a deal on my 3 contracts so I can get 2 phones. I'll get the white first, use it and then when the blue arrives give it to my senior staff member, as I don't think long term I can live with white.

If I can't, I'll wait, as long term, 2 weeks or so at this end vs a year or potentially more with a white phone....icky.

networkn: LOL, well I have to say 1900x1200 on my 13.1" Notebook is pretty amazing.

13" is understandable :) but 5" is a little over killed for 1080p. But hey if it is available on a Samsung or HTC then it will be good. I don't like LG. I would never buy LG phone :) Or iPhone.

But wow 1900x1200 on a 13" laptop? Damn it must of cost you a fortune on that :) Mr.Rich guy.

I've got an Optimus 2x, since the 2.3 update it has had no end of issues, I was lucky not to have issues on 2.2, the gps doesn't work anymore and intermittently the cell radio stops working. The screen is beautiful but if the hardware and firmware behind the phone is crap then there is no point having a nice display. I won't buy another LG after this one, my previous HTC was a great phone, solid as a rock.

Thinking a gs3 for my next phone as the removable battery is always a plus but if the One X drops in price and a Black/Grey model comes out here then it would do just as nicely.

At the present time I would not buy an LG Android phone no matter how appealing it looked on paper. I recall Paul Obrian's Tweets about the 2x and how unbelievably, shockingly bad it's software was. He was literally incredulous that they would ship the model in it's release-software incarnation and I recall his updates on their first few firmware revisions was similarly dire.

Steer well, well clear of LG until they've been out a while and there is some kind of indication as to how the software is.

I would tend to agree. My SGIII will eventually (once the blues arrive!) replace my trusty old LG Optimus which I seem to have had for ages (bought it when they were first released to replace my WinMob 6.1 Samsung) - and it is the only phone I have never had to take back for a service repair (since my first OKI cellphone in 1995). Is running cyanogenmod as factory firmware stopped at 2.1! - was released as cupcake only originally - but has been a great wee reliable phone. However friends with Optimus 2x and 3D have both had no end of firmware related problems. Even cyanogenmod don't seem to be able to make these newer LG suckers run reliably enough which was why I've been waiting for the SGIII for a while.

Yah I can't comment on the android devices but I did try 2 from a good few years ago now where they ran their own OS, and it was pretty good. Ultimately I preferred the Samsung Pixon

P1n3apqlExpr3ss: 2degrees' site is down?

site is working for me though.

NZtechfreak, You're right. I've seen people saying their LG is crap and crashes every now and then. Not to mention that they will never get any update to the latest OS lol. I'm not preparing to jump the boat even with 1080p screen on their phone. It is more likely a death trap.

S3 is more appealing to me than anything else in the market. To me HTC OneX design is a little cheap some how. May be it is just me always seeing HTC as 2nd in the list.

SteveON: Omg 72 pages and no one ones one yet. How about a thread for people when they actually own one?

If this is true i'm gonna be rampaging.

2degrees had pre orders up first. Came to the game first and didn't **** people around.

And wow if this is true. What a major cock up.

Question - If i swap to 2degrees can i keep my Vodafone number?
I know it's only $30 but i don't really wanna pay for a micro sim to stay Voda.

Has the release in NZ always been the 31st? I was under the impression it was the 29th.. when I went to the Vodafone site to check my email and saw the little countdown I'm sure it had x days to go which equalled the 29th. Now I see its 1 day 12 hours, so midnight crossing from 30th to 31st.
