Well one day into S3 ownership and I couldn't be happier, I did not expect such a big improvement over the S2 but am pleasantly surprised

I am actually liking the direction Samsung have taken TW also, there is a couple of customization features which show they are listening to what the users want, only customization i am missing at the moment is 5 icons per line, having all that space and only being able to stick 16 icons seems wasteful!

Is that off all Samsung TVs or off all Samsung products?
Can you point me to an advertisment?

networkn: NZTF: I'd be interested in your initial findings as to the sound quality/\.

Very early but SQ is fine, it's certainly not amazing and no rival to the iPhone 4S in my ears, but good. Will wait to see what Voodoo brings later today though...

This is what I wrote at Head-Fi about the SQ in comparison to the 4S:

"Can't say much as this stage, it's certainly not bad but it is easily apparent that it's no match for the iPhone (was A/B'ing them last night with my Senn HD-251-IIs, will have a listen with my ACS-T15s tomorrow probably, doubt there is any point in trying with my GS1000s or LCD-2s with either phone).Relative to the iPhone the I'd say this of the S3: lower volume output, less resolving, bass not as tight and well controlled, mids/highs muffled in comparison, less dynamic and so less engaging to listen to (bear in mind that was listening to predominantly rock and metal, will break out some jazz/hip hop/other stuff soon). So, to my ear at any rate on my brief listening so far it doesn't come close to unseating the iPhone. That's why I'm investing some time and energy into the possibility of DACs, and also waiting for what Supercurio can do for us."

Another user there prefers the sound to the iPhone though, certainly taste in sound enters into it - I prefer neutral and highly detailed and dynamic sound which the iPhone has in droves (I listen to a very wide range of music so the neutrality and faithfulness of sound is important in order to do well over the entire spectrum). Those who enjoy a more laid back sound, and I'm guessing that would apply to people who listen to a lot of R&B/Hip hop and stuff where there tends not to be a huge load of detail may well find the S3 more suited to their listening tastes.
