Hi,

I noticed on my mysky box that a couple of days ago it started coming up with 'minutes remaining'... for a recorded show.

Is this new or have I pressed some key combination to turn it on?

Coming from a Series 1 Tivo to Mysky, I can say that minutes remaining is welcome, although the mysky interface is still well

below tivo usability. Things like skip forward and back 15 minutes, unless I've missed how to do that on Mysky.

Cheers,

Looks like a few cosmetic changes - like the one you have mentioned.

Also selecting any of the main menu topics alway puts in a mini-tv view with the list of submenu options on a dropdown (rather than scrolling down as per previously).

You can now series delete (PIN required) rather than having to delete each programme within a series individually.

I'm not certain of any functional changes - the response might be snappier or it might be that I have less files on the MySky compared to previously.

There is a new interface. I got it about 4 weeks ago as part of the trial. I dont like the look as much as the old one. Dont like the mini TV. Still slow as watching paint dry.

I have noticed changes the mini TV was optional now it seems to be the default. One change that I applaud is when listening to a music/radio channel the screen now shows total black instead of a light grey.

I do find the scrolling function very slow, also booked in linked programs disappear periodically which is most annoying.

One thing I noticed in the last month was you can delete a recorded episode whilst it is playing and it will stop the episode and delete.

In the past, you had to manually stop an episode before you deleted it.

While watching a recorded program, and then browsing Guide or Planner, pressing the SKY button returns to recorded program, not live TV. Not sure whether this is new?

Yes I realise now I didn’t say it but it is definitely an improvement!

Yep, it's Sky treating its customers with total disdain again. They release a new software upgrade and don't even bother to communicate it to their customers. Wouldn't you like to know what changes have been made. We won't find out from Sky.

Just press red button, after selected all etc, for full grid.

It stays on this setting and even gets rid of mini tv in planner, until press red again. Can even turn decoder off and on and it remembers. I’ve got mysky.

I like the changes.

Did this change also include adding access to a shedload of back catalogue PPV Movies?

There has always been the new release PPV at $7 each but now there is a new "Movie Rental" category in OnDemand for older Movies at $5.

Yet another movie rental option to add to stuffpix and Lightbox. Ease of use tho without yet another subscription and billing and streaming device option.

Yes it did, when I went through it, looked like SD movies only for older ones.

The Red button to turn off the preview tv is only on my recorded screen, on the planner it only takes you to on demand. The little TV is still there.

On the guide you need to select all, entertainment, movies etc.

The red button option then shows.
I then found that if I went to planner it was also full grid.
With guide the mini TV shows until pick a category.

The feature you speak of has been around ever since I first got Mysky so many years...

OK this may seem a bit queer but have they altered the audio compression? My wife says it is louder using our usual settings and sounds a bit harsher, but the really funny thing is that our Cat will no longer come into the room (breaking a habit of 3 years) she looks at the TV and walks straight out she is frightened, or it could be an update from Samsung.
