Hi, I am visiting my parents place and they have Freeview via satellite dish, I have brought my sky decoder with me to watch the rugby and to show a couple of shows to the parents as they are keen on getting sky.

When I plug the sky decoder into the cable from the dish I don't get a signal, just the rain fade message and no signal.
I thought they were coming from the same satellite? can someone tell me what I need to adjust to get signal?

Thanks

You might need to change the LNB type or settings on the sky box. Different dishes have different LNBs (the bit that actually picks up the signal)
