Hi Guys

I have sky in my lounge, and want to be also able to view it from the bedroom. Without getting a 2nd decoded, and I dont have an aerial plug in my room, is there any way I can do this?

you could try a wireless video sender. How far is the sky from your bedroom?

Yes, you can, and it's pretty easy. There are a couple of options:

1. Simplest is to just run AV cables from the Sky box to your bedroom. My Sky decoder has HDMI to the main TV, as well as AV outputs that could be easily cabled underfloor if you are able to do this.

2. A wireless video sender, as JonnyCam suggests. I have one. They work OK - watchable, but some picture degradation. Has a remote sender, so you can change channels as well. They can be had pretty cheap (circa $70-80) if you look around.

3. If you want Hi Def in your bedroom as well as your living room, you need to run HDMI cables and use an HDMI splitter.

I understand there are wireless HDMI senders, but don't know how well they work in practice.

for a simpler, but probably less ideal, solution you could always just use isky for your bedroom via laptop

Just had a quick look at ISky, looks like you have to be subscribed to multiroom anyway to be able to watch most of their stuff, is that correct?? If so, it seems to be a waste of time...may as well just use another decoder. Am I missing something??!

I believe you only need multiroom if you want to watch skysport on isky, rest is available regardless i think

If you ring up sky, I am sure they will give you free installation for a second decoder, as well as maybe 6 months free rental for the second decoder. That is the norm deals they have running these days.

Doing it this way is surely cheaper than av senders, splitters, time etc. And after 6 months it is only $15 extra per month.

Hey, where are you getting this information from? I was told it's $25 per month for an extra decoder, and that Sky never off promotions for this. :S
