Hi,   Does anyone know of a phone, suitable for a  child, that can not have any internet capability, either data or WiFi but it needs to be able to text and called (and get texts and inbound calls) from predetermined numbers only.?  The numbers will be preselected by caregivers?  I am sure I saw such a phone advertised on TV a year or so ago, but no phone company seems to list such a device.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.  Spark was the first place I visited today, and they knew nothing about this.   I knew there was something.  I think a phone may be preferable to talking on a watch but will certainly keep this in mind if nothing else shows up.

There is bound to be some sort of 'net nanny' app you could load on to a standard phone that locks it down in this way. Probably more likely on Android?

Then just grab a cheap Android phone and away you go.

Edit: just a thought too, is the reasoning to lock it down to stop overuse and bill shock? Or you actually need to limit content access?

Thank you for your message.  Contact access and access from un approved callers is the main thing.

Install Norton Family, lock down Settings, lock down browsing to approved sites only... Or use ESET Parental Control.

Those won't lock SMS and voice calls though.

Thank you but due to past issues, the phone must have zero internet access and be capable of only accessing approved numbers.
