http://www.tivo.com/mytivo/product-features/stay-connected/ipad/index.html

Hello.

Has anyone got te ipad app running in their ipad in nz?

It sees to me that "TIVO" has a great service but the nz side of things (run by telecom) have limited te features available.

Also, nz quikflx. Is available on TiVo, but apparently not in nz either.

TiVo isn't run by Telecom in NZ.

Thanks.

I phoned a while ago, and "telecom" answered. They didn't advise they were not in nz.

Telecom was the only supplier of TiVo in NZ initially, but they have never run the TiVo service. Plenty of discussions on Geekzone in the TiVo forum if you want to chase up the details. A bit of light reading ;-)

Moved this to the correct forum.

TiVo in New Zealand was a partnership between Hybrid TV (Australian), TVNZ and Telecom.

Hybrid TV has the rights for the TiVo. Telecom was providing unmetered broadband for Caspa and retail in their stores. TVNZ... Well TVNZ was being TVNZ.

Telecom never "run" TiVo in New Zealand. They sold the devices in their stores and provided support. They might still be providing support because the devices were sold through their stores, but that's where it ends.

There's this misconception that TiVo is a Telecom thing in New Zealand, probably because it was sold through them for some time.

This is going for too long. Let's make it clear: TiVo is not a Telecom product.

Yeap, and part of the reason why it didn't do well was teh confusion over it and telecom I think.

On topic, the app you are referring to is only for the US I think. The tivo remote app you can download from the apple store works fine for me, but you have to enable it in the tivo. But it only works like the remote.
