Hey,

Is it just me or does the Linked In mobile experience kind of suck?

Email notifications from Linked In link to the main site not the app on my phone, which the main site recommends I down load obviously not knowing I have.

The app doesn't show recent notifications in a consistent way with the actual site.

It just feels like they didn't really bother to do a proper job with mobile integration.

This is a real shame as I think Linked In is actually a great platform, as long as it is on a desktop. It's different from Facebook and Twitter but it can be relevant if it works properly.

When I say mobile I mean on Windows Phone. No idea what the iOS or Android experience is like but would be interested in hearing.

Any thoughts?

J

The iOS experience is similar - you get an email notification, and if you tap it, it loads the web browser.

The App does at least pop a notification (little red number on the corner of the tile), so you can go in there and deal with it, just not seamlessly from the email.
