Hi all. I'm currently with Trustpower in Tauranga for electricity & gas and trying to work out who would be the cheapest provider here. Any help would be appreciated :)

It would depend on your usage, This is not a straight forward question to answer that easily

I'm with genesis for gas/power, (was with trustpower). High power user, save tons of money over trustpower even after accounting for dividend payout.

Genesis have an awesome gas option too -- where you can pay a fixed monthly cost regardless of usage (although 3 different monthly costs, depending on whether you are a low/medium/high usage customer but even so I will still save heaps).   I'm looking to change onto that before the next winter.

Those Genesis gas plans look good! Thanks for sharing that.

Not sure who I'd recommend for gas but Flick has certainly proven to be the best so far.

They give you access to much more data about your consumption than you may be used to and their transparent pricing model is the most cost effective for medium & heavy users, even factoring in the TECT cheque.
