Hi folks
We had a new kitchen installed about 6 weeks ago. Range of drawer sizes but have noticed on some of the wider drawers a tendency for the soft close to leave the front protruding about 1cm out of the cabinetry i.e it doesn’t close fully. You can push the front after it stops and it then does close up.
I have subsequently figured out a resolve ( for a period) is to open the drawer fully until it seems to stop – then if you pull it firmly it opens about another 5 to 8cm with a bit of resistance –like a gas spring.
It then works fine from that point for a while then back to not closing properly several days later.
Not knowing much about how the soft close systems work, is this an inherent design / fix or is the soft close mechs at fault on a few drawers ?
They are hafele branded closers. I can’t see any adjustment other than for the drawer front up down / sideways…
Thanks for any tips
