Looking for suggestions on ways to easily remove well stuck on stickers? Some are reasonably large. Shrek donkey, dragon movie types and pussy cats! Dog is not happy :-)

On the outside. Metal painted surface.

Thought of a window rego scraper, but then that could easily go bad if you get your angles wrong. Thanks.

Another vote for De-Solv-It.

De-Solv-It is good if the stickers are paper-based and can soak though into the adhesive, but it sounds like these are all weather plastic bumper stickers so they are probably pretty water (and oil) resistant. However De-Solv-It will do an excellent job of cleaning up the residue after you get the sticker off, I suggest gentle heat gun or even hair dryer with a razor blade scraper, taking it very slowly.

Thanks for all the suggestions :-) Plenty of ideas to get started on that. Yeah more hard plastic well stuck on rather than paper based.

If it is a hard plastic base with an adhesive pad under it then heat it with a hairdryer then pull some dental floss to cut through the adhesive pad between the plastic and the paint.

Use solvent, or wd40, to remove the adhesive residue.

A less aggressive method is to get a patch of paper towel, soak it in cooking oil, and leave it on the surface to clear for quite awhile. This softens the goo enough to allow it to be rubbed off.

Used a CRC product called filmoff, worked really well for vinyl stickers de-branding ex company vehicles. Even areas that had been on for years with the outline of the sticker visible, spray of this stuff and it was all gone.
