Plus don't forget Hulu just got a whole shed load of Netflix's movie content:

I enjoy Hulu and with the ad-free option plus the new movies, I will being watching it even more.

Been waiting for this for ages, just changed my subscription. Definitely worth the $4 a month.

Netflix has been getting less and less attractive to us as time goes on. We are finding it harder to find movies/tv shows we want to watch and haven't watched already. Some of the Netflix originals are good (OITNB for instance) but I'm starting to wander if it's worth the money now. Hulu is quickly becoming our go to and with the inclusion of more main stream movies with this Epix deal it may well take over our nightly viewing. Ad free it shall be too.

Edit: speeling

Thank goodness for that, the ads were amusing for a short period as they are so different to NZ ads but I'd happily pay an extra $4 to get rid of them.

I dont' mind the ads for now. Some of them are ( unintentionally) hilarious like the pharmaceutical ads

The pharmaceutical ads are hilarious. 5 seconds to plug the product, 25 seconds for all the legal stuff and consult your doctor. :D

I might give hulu another shot then. The amount of ad's was absurd on it. Non skippable too. WTF is with that?

What I don't  like about Hulu is their audio stream. Both Netflix and Amazon offer Dolby Digital+ 5.1 whereas as far as I am aware, Hulu still only offers stereo audio. It comes across as AAC on my Roku whereas Netflix and Amazon light up the DD+ light on my receiver.

This was my feeling after trying Hulu earlier this year. When I cancelled the service and got the little survey to ask why...I made sure I let them know there were too many adverts!  Wouldnt mind an advert at the beginning of a show...but if I'm paying a subscription I dont want adverts in the middle of the show either.

I might look at them again if they have an advertless subscription option.

Just joined Hulu again and it is weird watching a show like Stargate where there was ad breaks edited in which now don't exist. You simply get reminded you're watching xx every 10min.

Still though, better than the ~2min of ads.
