I have wanted one of these for a while.

Recently, they have been hard to find in New Zealand and the price has gone up with the fall of the dollar.

However, Ascent have got them for the best price I have seen locally.

I was thinking of importing one. But, this price compares well with that.

Btw.. it is a coupon price of $206.83

How thick is the cable on it? My razer one is really annoying because it has a crazy thick cable because they seem to think that passing thru 3.5mm and a USB 2 port to the side of the keyboard is useful.

Also, it has that rubbish nylon mesh on the cable to make it look more awesome, which makes it extra stiff and inflexible, so you need a good 200mm clear behind the keyboard since any movement of the keyboard will have the cable pushing stuff over.

Bit late for .. already ordered.

It does have 3yr warranty and I am not hard on things. So hopefully OK.

I have to say that cable does look quite solid in images.

Also, some reviews have said it  is quite a thick cable.

That suits me though.

My cat once took a dislike to a peripheral cable and chomped through it in one quick bite!

Computer desk is now a cat free zone.

Rappelle: LEDs die on this keyboard all the time. Don't be surprised. I have at least 20 LEDs gone.

Thanks for the info..

It is appalling that many LEDs would fail in such a short time.

Normally, LEDs last for many, many years.

Have you attempted to get it fixed under warranty?

Corsair have terrible customer support. Also the keycaps on the k70 are loose and do not fit the stems properly so that will take a bit of getting use to

Cheap leds are generally ones that fail QC. Impurities and stuff will give them a really short life.

Yes leds should last ages but if they are ones not on a tape from shenzhen markets then IME about 20% will be dim and the rest will dim out or die over a year or so. Great for single use $2 sets of Xmas lights. Not for keyboards.

I have had the K70 for a couple of weeks now.

So far, all good. I like the build and the quality. It is so much nicer than any other keyboard I have owned.

It is too early to say anything about long-term reliability.

I will update if any problems arise.

Ascent have a 3 year warranty on this.

So I am not too worried.
