Just wanted to pop on and post a Thank you to the team at Quic for the smooth and easy setup and change over to Hyperfibre.

One small hiccup in the beginning with the Chorus tech turning up a week or two too early, but Quic sorted it, provided new install date, and went live this morning.

Pretty happy with the results, and I can now happily say my network is Quic....

On wifi7 over my phone:

and via the UDM Pro:

Damn I'm jealous by your WiFi speeds there...

And just speeds in general. Guess I better get onto 2Gbit Hyperfibre.

Your biggest problem will be the upgrade to the FG-100F

Goddamnit! How the hell have you got Hyperfibre upload speeds like that via the UDM Pro over PPPoE?

I spent months going around in circles with both @quic and another ISP before concluding it just wasn't possible and ended up downgrading my connection until DHCP was available...

Maybe the OP is already on Quic's new DHCP stack?

Do you think Quic would tease you like that? ;)

I am sure Quic would not do that.

Surely they would not treat new customers better than customers who have stuck with them through all the teething issues, customers who have paid for secondary connections with another provider because of all the issues.  You surely cannot be suggesting that!

BTW also on Quic Hyperfiber with hardware capable of 2Gbps  but I only get 2Gbps up in the middle of the night, during the day my up is less than I would get on the  900Mbps download 400Mbps upload plan.

@godber just note there are a number of people who have been beta testing IPoE for quite some time now who have also experienced a fair bit more in terms of issues than their general customers. I’m on the beta, I have a secondary connection also as a backup but as you can see from the statement above expect an announcement soon.

Just as a point of reference, I'm a new customer and was put on PPPoE not DHCP so there's no preferential treatment for new customers

The UDM Pro is quite capable of decent speeds on PPPoE but no idea what it tops out at

3.7Gbps with all security features enabled.
Around 6.7Gbps with security features disabled.
I tested it via MyRepublic(now 2d) 8Gbps hyperfiber.
